XMP 3.0 / EXPO Profile Activation Required

This is a high-performance DDR5-6000 memory kit. It will NOT run at advertised speeds out of the box.

JEDEC Fallback Behavior

By default, all motherboards boot using safe **JEDEC standards** (typically **4800MT/s**). If you plug this RAM in and boot immediately, your system will downclock to this baseline, losing up to **10% - 20% CPU bandwidth**.

How to Enable XMP/EXPO

  1. 1.Reboot PC, tap Del or F2 to enter **BIOS**.
  2. 2.Find memory settings and toggle **XMP / EXPO** to **Enabled**.
  3. 3.Save & Exit (press F10). PC will reboot at 6000MHz.
Platform compatibility warning: On AMD AM5 (DDR5 Ryzen 7000/9000), target EXPO kits for maximum stability. On Intel platforms, prioritize XMP kits. Both profiles work, but choosing native profiles optimizes memory training timings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the G.Skill 128GB (2x64) 6000MHz DDR5 compatible with my motherboard?

This module is compatible with Intel 12th / 13th / 14th Gen (LGA1700), Intel Core Ultra 200S (LGA1851 / Arrow Lake), AMD Ryzen 7000 / 8000 / 9000 (AM5), AMD Threadripper 7000 (TRX50). Always verify with your motherboard's QVL (Qualified Vendor List) before purchasing, as compatibility can vary by board revision.

Is this DDR5 module a good deal right now?

At $3.09/GB, this module is 70% below the overall DDR5 market average $/GB across all capacities. Deal score: 91/100. Check the price history chart above to see how the price has moved recently. Prices are updated daily from Amazon.

What is 6000MHz RAM used for?

DDR5 RAM is required for AMD AM5 (Ryzen 7000/9000) and Intel LGA1851 (Core Ultra 200S) platforms. It offers higher bandwidth than DDR4, making it beneficial for content creation, gaming on modern platforms, and AI workloads. 6000MHz is the sweet spot for AMD AM5 โ€” it aligns with the Infinity Fabric 1:1 ratio.

How does G.Skill RAM compare to other brands?

G.Skill has 260 modules tracked with an average customer rating of 4.6โ˜…. This specific module is 70% below the overall DDR5 market average $/GB. Browse all G.Skill modules or use the comparison tool to see how it stacks up against Corsair, G.Skill, Kingston, and Crucial.

Is 128GB of RAM enough for gaming in 2026?

128GB is more than enough for gaming in 2026. Most AAA titles use 16โ€“24GB alongside Discord and a browser. 128GB gives you headroom for streaming, recording, and running multiple applications simultaneously.

What is the difference between a single 128GB stick and a 2ร—64GB kit?

This is already a 2ร—64GB dual-channel kit โ€” the correct configuration for maximum performance. Dual-channel mode doubles the memory bandwidth by using both memory channels simultaneously, improving performance in games and applications by 10โ€“30% compared to a single stick of the same total capacity.
