Making RAM Price Comparison Transparent
RAM Prices was built on a simple belief: buying memory should be a data decision, not a guessing game. We track 4,153+ modules daily so you always have the full picture before you buy.

The Mission
The RAM market is opaque. Prices fluctuate daily, product listings are inconsistent, and comparing value across different capacities and speeds requires math most buyers should not have to do manually. RAM Prices was built to fix that.
Every module tracked is automatically enriched with a price-per-GB calculation, deal score, compatibility data, and price history. The goal is to give every buyer โ from a first-time PC builder to a data center engineer โ the same quality of information that professional procurement teams have.
This site is independent. No sponsored placements, no paid rankings, no manufacturer relationships that could bias the data. Every ranking is computed from price and specification data alone.

I'm a tech enthusiast with 12+ years of experience in the IT industry, working across information security consulting, affiliate marketing, and technical blogging. I'm passionate about gadgets and laptops โ which means I've spent more time than most people researching RAM specs, comparing prices, and figuring out what actually represents good value.
I built RAM Prices because that research process was broken. Every time I needed to evaluate a memory upgrade, it meant opening five tabs, doing mental math on price-per-GB, and still second-guessing the result. There was no single place that showed the data clearly. So I built one.
Amazon.com is the world's largest RAM marketplace โ the deepest product selection, the most competitive pricing, and the highest buyer search volume anywhere. The data is public and the need is real regardless of where the builder lives. And being based outside the US tech industry means no conflicts of interest with any US retailer, brand, or distributor. The rankings reflect the data, nothing else.
I write every line of code, run the daily data pipeline, and make every product decision on this site. It launched in April 2026 and currently tracks 4,153+ modules. If you spot a data error or have a feature suggestion, I read every message.

Every major memory category is covered: DDR4 and DDR5 desktop DIMM, laptop SO-DIMM, gaming RAM, server ECC (RDIMM, UDIMM, LRDIMM), and legacy DDR3. Each product is enriched with normalized specifications โ memory type, speed, capacity, CAS latency, form factor, ECC support, and voltage.
Products that disappear from Amazon search results are automatically flagged and verified before removal. This ensures the database reflects real availability, not stale listings.
How It Works
Daily data collection
Every morning, our automated pipeline queries Amazon across every RAM category, brand, and capacity tier. Prices are updated, availability is verified, and new products are discovered.
Enrichment & validation
Each product is enriched with a price-per-GB calculation, deal score, compatibility data for 11 CPU platforms, and price history tracking. Invalid data is filtered out.
Published before you wake up
Updated data is deployed every morning before US buyers start their day. Every page on the site reflects the latest prices โ no stale data.
Commitments
Editorial independence
No sponsored rankings. No paid placements. No manufacturer relationships that influence the data. Every ranking is computed from price and specification data alone.
Transparent methodology
The data collection process, scoring approach, and quality controls are documented on the Methodology page. Every metric is explained.
Daily freshness
Prices are refreshed every morning. Products that go out of stock are flagged within 24 hours. No prices older than 24 hours are shown.
Free, always
RAM Prices is and will remain free to use. It is funded by Amazon affiliate commissions โ a small percentage of purchases made through links, at no cost to you.
Buyer-first design
Every feature โ price-per-GB ranking, deal scores, buy signals, compatibility filters โ is designed to help you make a better purchase decision, not to maximize clicks.
Data accuracy
Specifications are validated against known-good values. Prices outside realistic ranges are flagged. Products with incomplete data are excluded from aggregate statistics.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does RAM Prices make money?
RAM Prices participates in the Amazon Associates Program. When you click a product link and make a purchase, a small commission is earned at no extra cost to you. This revenue funds the daily data pipeline, server costs, and ongoing development. Rankings are based purely on price data โ affiliate relationships never influence what is shown.
How accurate are the prices?
Prices are sourced from Amazon and refreshed daily. They reflect Amazon list prices at the time of the last refresh. Prices can change between refreshes โ always verify the final price on Amazon before purchasing.
Why do you only track Amazon?
Amazon has the largest selection of RAM modules in the US, consistent pricing data, and reliable availability signals. Tracking a single authoritative source also ensures our comparisons are apples-to-apples. We may expand to other retailers in the future.
Can I trust the product specifications?
Specifications are extracted from Amazon product listings and normalized by our data pipeline. We validate memory type, capacity, speed, and form factor. However, some listings have incomplete or inaccurate specs from the seller โ always verify critical specs on the manufacturer's website before purchasing.
